Fr. Anton Award

Our very own spiritual director, Rev. Fr. Anton Pascual made us proud once again when he became one (1) of four (4) recipients of the AIM Alumni Achievement Award for 2014, the highest recognition given by the Asian Institute of Management to its outstanding alumni.

Fr. Anton is being recognized for his efforts in uplifting the lives of the marginalized through Caritas Manila where he is executive director and broadcasting good citizenship through Radio Veritas where he presides as president.
Both organizations grew under his helm. Radio Manila is now in the top 10 out of 50 radio stations in Metro Manila in a short span of 5 years. It is the most widely quoted radio station by the different newspapers. It is important to note that Radio Veritas is listened to, all over Asia.

His efficient work with Caritas Manila has helped not only those in need in the Philippines, but his leadership provided organized and substantial assistance to Caritas Haiti in 2010 and Caritas Japan in 2011 just to name a few.
By combining both these organizations, he instituted ‘Caritas in Veritas’, a venue for matching jobseekers and job hunter, grants and students, missing people with families.

Fr. Anton was instrumental in the planning and implementation of the BangonPamilyang Pilipino (BPP), a Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program where 60,000 Caritas Manila families were provided with micro-entrepreneurship programs with values education.

It must be remembered that in 2010, Fr. Anton was the recipient of the Order of the Golden Heart with the Rank of Golden Cross from the President of the Philippines for his advocacy of using media to teach to improve the lives of our marginalized brothers and sisters.
