Fr. Ramil’s teaching last March 25, 2014 at Santuario de San Antonio in Makati challenges us to take risks just as Mama Mary took the greatest risk of her life when she said ‘Yes’ to God to bear His Most Precious Son.
Mary uttered her ‘YES’ from an obedient and faithful heart, acknowledging her being special because God said so even when she thought she wasn’t.
Fr. Ramil encourages us to offer our limitations to God because that point of limitation is where God creates His miracles. It is when we push ourselves to the limits that He gives us wings to fly. He assures us that the challenges we allow ourselves to take on are areas of learning and discovering God’s true gifts to us.
If we are like the servant with the one (1) talent who chose to bury it in the soil in the fear of losing it, then we are a slave to the certainty of indeed losing it. Taking risks is an exercise in freedom.
If we know that God will always be there to catch us, what then is the real risk? The real risk is not believing in God’s perfect will for lives. The real risk is unfaithfulness to His goodness and love.
