God’s love is the bedrock for Christian holiness, and should be for romantic relationships, a timely reminder at valentine. Love is sweet, rosy, nicey-nicey, but can be tough at times, heartbreaking to take, if not rooted on God. When God sends us in a relationship, on a difficult mission, He accompanies us with many promises in the messy path we walk. Let us be attentive to His leadings.

They will fight against you, but not prevail over you, for I am with you to deliver you. (Jer 5:53)

Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men. (Lk 5:10b)

Yes indeed, we don’t stop evangelizing our family, our loved ones and the next generation. We may be disappointed, but are confident that when we ask the Lord to lead, when we willingly take up our cross, or love the unloveable, His mercies and rewards come beyond measure. In faith, we take Jesus at His word.
