We have been called by God to be soldiers for Christ out on a mission. The problem is many are not aware of this because they have been living for the things of this world instead of living for the kingdom of God here on earth. Many have been caught up with self-fulfillment and feeling good instead of the mission our Lord gave us. Some may not see themselves as appointed to bring the gospel to others. Perhaps they would rather leave the task for the teachers, priests and the laity.

More disturbing is not understanding the essential truths of the gospel. Therefore, how can they impart and proclaim the faith of the gospel? When we can address this, then we begin not to live for ourselves but rather let others experience the same metanoia we have undergone.

We should realize that we are ambassadors for Christ representing His heavenly kingdom here on earth. Our sole purpose is to bring the truth of the gospel to everyone we meet, to speak out and defend this truth as imitators of Christ. We need to re-align their hearts and minds to God through prayer, sacrifice, witnessing and interceding for one another.

Empowerment comes from God but our love and simplicity in carrying out our task will seal this divine mission.
